Ongoing project:

Uganda

The director of Home Of Dreams orphanage in Uganda reached out to us for help in 2020. Wanume decided to start helping orphans when he was just 16 years old, after a personal tragedy when his sister was abducted.
In Uganda, many families live below the poverty line and are unable to feed their children. As a result, many children end up on the streets and become victims of child labor and human trafficking. Wanume decided to dedicate his life to saving as many children as he can. He found a small house for rent and registered an orphanage. Currently, more than 20 children live there. He provides them with shelter, food, and even sends them to schools for daily education. Unfortunately, Wanume is constantly in need of funds and has to constantly reach out for help. We started helping by sending clothes and school supplies. Whenever possible, we send money transfers. But we want to help them become independent of donations. In 2023, we bought them 3 acres of farmland. There is already a small one-room house on this plot, but we want to build a new one with enough space for everyone. We also want to build a water well and help them start a farm so they become self sustainable and not rely on donations as much in order to get children fed.
