Arina was born in 2019 with cleft palate and her condition was affecting her wellbeing more and more. If left untreated it would have caused severe problems with speech development, eating and drinking, ear infections and even hearing loss. For Arina’s parents the cost of surgery was insurmountable. Big Dreams covered the surgical procedure cost at the Medical Center “Fortuna” in Kharkov, Ukraine. The surgery took place in October of 2020, was very successful and Arina has fully recovered since.
